The Canadian Animal Task Force is a volunteer-driven, registered charity that plays a crucial role in providing care to companion animals. Their efforts contribute not only to community safety but also to the overall health and well-being of animals. As pet lovers and advocates ourselves, we understand the importance of their work and aim to support their mission.
We are hosting the Sleep Rover Halloween Brunch (photos from our first attempt) Event on Sunday, October 15th, 2023, at the Triwood Community Center from 2pm - 5pm. The event promises to be an exciting gathering, filled with pet-friendly activities, costume contests, and fun for both pets and their human companions. Through this event, we aim to raise awareness about CATF's initiatives while generating funds to support their ongoing efforts.
Triwood Community Center is gorgeous and roomy. It can house up to 250 guests with plenty of parking. We will be utilizing the main hall for the event, complete with Halloween decorations and the stage. Beside it will be a few tables for Silent Auction items with items such as a huge Dog Gazebo from Douglas Homes. We will have Tables of 10 with alternating tables for the VID’s (dogs).
The connecting hall will showcase some amazing local businesses such as Canine Development (Trick for Treat), Cheddar Dogs (Cupcake Creation), Thrive Wellness (dog massage), Aubri Poon Photography (a special Halloween Portrait) and Bon-a-Pet Treat Treat Bar for Rescue. The event will be hosted by a local Comedian Donovan Deschner and we will have a photographer and videographer on site.

Our event timeline:
2:00pm - Doors Open - people can visit the vendors and get their photos done. We will have a special guest outside.
3:00pm - Brunch starts - and every human will be served brunch, and the VID dogs will be served their brunch, which includes a Beer Can & Pizza (Beer can is Bone Broth - and Pizza made by Pawsome Pizza via Mash) - we will also get a speech by the CATF team
4:00pm - An adorable Costume Contest Show of all the attendees
5:00pm - Silent Auction ends and Fun will have to wait for Next Year!
