YOUR GUIDE TO SLEEP ROVER

At this time, we are only accepting active daycare clients. If you're interested in joining our Sleep Rover family, please review the criteria below.
No Walk-Ins – Please Book in Advance
To maintain our staff-to-dog ratio and provide the best care possible, we do not accept walk-ins. Please book in advance to secure your pup’s spot!
Staying Active:
To maintain a comfortable and stress-free environment, all clients must regularly attend daycare (either at Sleep Rover or another local daycare). We recommend attending at least once every two weeks.
- Clients inactive for over six months will be marked as inactive, and their spot will be opened for a new client.
Overnight Care Requirements:
If you're interested in overnight stays, your dog must complete five successful daycare visits. This gradual introduction helps them adjust to the environment before staying overnight, which can be stressful for some dogs.
- If your pup settles in well before the full five days, we’re happy to reassess and potentially waive the remaining visits.
Crating Policy for Overnight Stays
- Crate training is required for all overnight clients, as we use crates only during feeding times in our open-concept facility.
- Dogs are crated for up to two hours after meals to aid digestion and prevent bloat, a serious health risk.
- Crating is not required for daycare-only clients.

Step 4: Trial Day Check-In

- Your dog must stay until at least 1 PM to complete the full assessment.
- After the Trial Day, you can check in during regular business hours for future visits.

Create AccoutYour dog’s first day of daycare is an exciting milestone, but it’s natural for both of you to feel a little nervous.
To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone, here are a few important guidelines to keep in mind:
- Masks & Courtesy: As of March 2022, masks are not required in our facility. However, if you prefer to wear one, our team is happy to do the same upon request—just let us know!
- Boutique Area Limit: To maintain a calm and safe environment, we allow a maximum of three dogs in the boutique area at a time. Please keep a distance of two metres from other dogs and their owners. Even if your dog is friendly, others may need their space.
- Facility Tour: Before your pup’s trial day, we encourage you to visit us during business hours for a human-only tour (please leave Rover at home). This will give you a better sense of where your dog will spend their day.
- Crate Test & Snacks: We recommend that all trial dogs bring a lunch or a tasty snack for their crate test. (More on why we crate test below!)
We’re so excited to welcome your pup to Sleep Rover! Here’s a breakdown of what to expect on their trial day:
Drop-Off (Trial Day Only)
- Please arrive between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM for drop-off.
- Our friendly front desk team will greet your pup and take note of their first impression—are they excited, nervous, or curious? This helps us determine the best playgroup for them, starting with size-based separation.
Transitioning to the Play Area
- The front desk staff will take your dog’s leash and walk them to the play area.
- If your pup seems nervous or hesitant, we recommend leaving quickly without making a big fuss—dogs pick up on our emotions, so staying upbeat and positive will help them feel more comfortable.
- Have any questions? Feel free to ask when the staff returns from settling your pup in!
Playgroup Introduction
Once in the play area, your dog will be gradually introduced to their group in a safe and positive manner, supervised by our dedicated caregivers. Here’s what we’ll assess:
- How quickly do they settle in—do they relax right away or take some time?
- What are their social skills like with staff and other dogs? Are they collar-sensitive?
- Do they respond to their name and come when called?
- What activities do they enjoy most—playing, exploring, or observing?
- If you’re planning an overnight stay in the future, do they need more daycare visits beforehand, or are they ready right away?
Lunchtime Crate Test
At lunchtime, dogs who bring a meal will have one hour of crate time to eat and rest. This is an important part of our assessment, ensuring they are comfortable in a crate for future sleepovers. Crate time also helps prevent bloat, a serious condition that can occur if dogs play too soon after eating.
Pick-Up & First Day Report Card
- When you return to pick up your pup, our front desk team will go over their first-day report card, summarizing everything we observed.
- Expect to take home one very happy, very tired dog—get ready for their first-ever #SleepRoverComa!
To be considered an active client, your dog must not exceed six months of inactivity (i.e., no daycare or overnight bookings).
- If your dog has been inactive for over a year, their profile will be removed from our system to make room for new or waitlisted clients.
- We are not a drop-in facility—all new clients must complete a trial day before booking.
- Reservations must be made in advance to maintain a consistent and well-socialized group of dogs.
- Overnight Stays: As of March 2022, new clients must complete five daycare visits before an overnight stay to ensure a stress-free experience.
- To stay active, we recommend bringing your dog for daycare at least once a month.
This policy helps us provide a safe, structured, and familiar environment for all dogs in our care.
To ensure the health and safety of all our guests, Sleep Rover requires the following three major vaccinations:
- Rabies
- Parvo
- Yearly Boosters
- TITRES Accepted!
Optional but Highly Recommended:
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough) – Helps protect against a common respiratory infection.
- Revolution (Fleas, Ticks & Heartworm Prevention) – Reduces the risk of parasites.
Health & Wellness Policy
If your dog shows signs of ticks, fleas, or extreme diarrhea, you or your emergency contact will be required to pick them up immediately.
Preventing Kennel Cough (Dog Flu)
If your dog isn’t regularly exposed to other dogs, their first stay may increase the risk of catching Kennel Cough (Dog Flu)—a common multi-strain virus. We encourage all owners to learn more about it by reading https://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/bordetella-does-your-dog-really-need-the-kennel-cough-vaccine/
For the safety of all pups, please ensure your dog is in good health before boarding for an extended stay.
If your pup is new to a daycare or any environment with multiple dogs, there’s a high chance they may catch a bug—just like kids starting school! With hundreds of strains of the canine flu (commonly called kennel cough), it’s almost inevitable that dogs will be exposed at some point.
Even if your dog is vaccinated against Bordetella, they can still get sick. Just like the human flu shot, the vaccine helps but doesn’t cover every strain. Most cases of kennel cough are mild, causing coughing, hacking, and slight fatigue. However, if your dog becomes lethargic, runs a fever, or seems unwell, we strongly recommend visiting a vet, as respiratory infections can sometimes lead to pneumonia.
Since flu viruses are airborne, they can spread anywhere dogs interact—meaning complete prevention isn’t possible. That’s why at Sleep Rover, we take extra precautions to keep our environment as healthy as possible. We ensure:
- Frequent outdoor breaks—our dogs get fresh air at least once every hour!
- Thorough cleaning—our facility is sanitized twice daily with vet-grade cleaners.
- Fresh bedding—washed and replaced every single day.
We also require dogs to be regular clients, attending at least once a month. This not only helps them feel comfortable but also strengthens their immunity over time, reducing the risk of getting sick from new exposures.
Ultimately, the best way to minimize illness is through consistent socialization or complete avoidance of dog-to-dog interactions. While no daycare can eliminate the risk entirely, our proactive approach helps keep Sleep Rover a safe and happy space for your pup!
At Sleep Rover, we believe in a “Home Away from Home” experience, where dogs have the freedom to roam and socialize in a welcoming, open environment. Our facility is designed with four spacious rooms, separated only by size and energy level—allowing for natural interaction, play, and relaxation, just like a children’s daycare!
Our open-concept layout isn’t just great for the dogs—it also fosters a calm and stress-free atmosphere for our human caregivers. You’ll notice that Sleep Rover stays surprisingly quiet during the day, as the dogs settle into their routines. The only real excitement? Morning check-ins when everyone is eager to play and feeding time when delicious meals are served!
We also have an expansive 7,000 sq. ft. outdoor play area, where dogs can run, chase, and burn off energy in the fresh air. No cold, dark kennels or lonely crates here—just a comfortable, social, and interactive space filled with human companionship and happy, tail-wagging friends.
At Sleep Rover, we focus on fun, freedom, and a stress-free experience—just like home!
At Sleep Rover, we welcome puppies 3 months and older, as long as they are fully vaccinated (or have approved TITRE results) for at least two weeks before attending daycare.
Puppies Under 3 Months?
We understand the importance of early socialization! If your puppy is under 3 months old, we will consider admission with a Vet-Approved Letter.
All Breeds Welcome!
We do not discriminate based on breed—every dog deserves a fun and safe space to play!
Kennel Cough (Dog Flu) & Young Dogs
If your pup hasn’t been around off-leash parks or daycare environments before, there’s a chance they may experience kennel cough (dog flu) after their first few visits. This is completely normal—just like kids catching colds at daycare! The virus is airborne, and exposure over time helps build immunity. Young dogs or those with lower immunity may show stronger symptoms, while many experience only mild or no symptoms at all.
Spay & Neuter Policy
While traditional guidelines suggest spaying/neutering before 6 months of age, we recognize that every dog is different. To support healthy growth and development, we allow unaltered dogs to attend with caution past this age.
However, if your dog begins marking, humping, or becoming a target due to being intact, we will kindly discuss alternative options with you. Our priority is to maintain a positive and stress-free environment for all our guests!
Absolutely! We believe that every pet parent should feel confident and comfortable with where they’re leaving their pup, so we welcome tours anytime during business hours (7 AM – 7 PM).
Best Time to Visit?
To avoid long wait times, we recommend stopping by between 11 AM – 2 PM, when we’re not busy with check-ins and check-outs. However, if you don’t mind waiting, you’re welcome to visit at any time during our open hours!
Leave Rover at Home
For safety reasons and to minimize disruptions to our guests, we kindly ask that you do not bring your dog during the tour.
We can’t wait to show you around Sleep Rover—see you soon!
At Sleep Rover, crate training is essential for a smooth and stress-free environment, especially during feeding times. With over 100 dogs in our care, we use crates to:
- Ensure Every Dog Eats in Peace – Crates provide a quiet space where dogs can enjoy their meals without competition or distractions.
- Monitor Eating Habits – We carefully track which dogs are eating well and quickly spot any changes in appetite, which can be an early sign of health issues.
- Prevent Bloat & Other Illnesses – After eating, dogs must rest for an hour to reduce the risk of bloat, a serious and potentially fatal condition. Crates give them a chance to relax and digest safely.
Additional Crate Time Options
If you’d like your dog to have longer crate periods, such as a midday rest or overnight crating, just let us know! We’re happy to accommodate individual needs.
Why Don’t We Feed Breakfast for Daycare Dogs?
We skip breakfast for daycare dogs because:
- Morning Energy is High – Dogs arrive excited and ready to play, making it difficult for them to settle down and eat.
- Respect for Overnight Guests – Our overnight guests eat at 6 AM while crated and are let out by 7 AM. Feeding daycare dogs at this time would disrupt their routine.
If your pup skips breakfast at home, bring their food, and we can feed them at lunchtime (noon).
Special Feeding Requests?
We have three feeding times:
- Breakfast – 5:00 AM
- Lunch – 12:00 PM
- Dinner – 4:00 PM
For feeding requests outside these hours, please email us in advance!
Your pup’s well-being is our top priority, and our feeding routine ensures a safe, structured, and happy experience for everyone.
DIRTY DOGS HAVE MORE FUN!
With nearly 7,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space, our pups get fresh air and playtime every hour—rain, snow, or shine! While some dogs stay relatively clean, if your pup loves rolling, wrestling, or splashing around, they’re bound to pick up a little "eau de adventure."
How to Keep Your Pup Fresh:
- Car Prep – Keep a cover and towel in your vehicle for a quick wipe-down after daycare.
- At-Home Rinse – A quick wash with your favorite dog shampoo can freshen them up!
- Daycare Wipe-Downs – We do our best to towel off pups throughout the day.
- Book a Grooming Appointment – If you'd like a professional cleanup, let us know! Groomers book about two weeks in advance, but if there's an opening, we’ll bathe your pup and keep them indoors for the afternoon.
Prefer a Cleaner Pup?
You can request that your dog stays inside during outdoor play. Just let us know in advance!
At Sleep Rover, a little dirt means a lot of fun!

Absolutely amazing and they treat you (and your pets ) like family! We cannot say enough good things about Sleep Rover. I don’t know what we would do without them!

Karen Buetow
Sleep Rover is in a club of their own!! THE absolute best place next to granny’s house (yes, better than that because no offence but granny can’t keep up) even serving up the homemade cookies, new fur-friends and hooman’s for life. Joyce and Jimmy pull out all the stops and bring in caring and loving staff who really get to know each dog and if asked give honest and helpful answers to behaviour, eating and any other dog questions that you may have drawing from their wealth of experience. The daily photos/videos on social media and daily report cards are the extra mile and truly appreciated. They absolutely go above and beyond. 150%

I tried your coffee this past summer when my husband and I started going to the Wrightstown Farmers market. I haven't missed a week since for your delicious coffee. I used to buy the very popular coffee and found that yours was better tasting, better kept and made the perfect cup every time!! I even got my other family members hooked on it as well!! Thank you for the best cup of coffee!

Lisa Stone
You have not tried fresh coffee until you've tried this one. We saw this coffee roasted meticulously and shipped as soon as it came out of the roaster. Just try one bag and you will be hooked. We are true coffee "snobs" and this is the only coffee that suits our tastes. Try it in a french press for an unbelievable fresh coffee experience! Thank you so much! A Perfect cup every time!

Cliff Lindsey
My wife stumbled across The Coffee Scoop at a tasting demo held at Frey's Better Foods in Hellertown, PA. She bought a bag of coffee, and we've been hooked ever since. Not only are these the best coffees we've ever tasted, they're also organic and fair trade. We've since moved to Colorado, so now we order online. The shipments always arrive sooner than we expect. 110% happy customers.
